How to validate W3C Schema files
To validate W3C Schema files, usually with a .xsd file extension, the AltovaXML parser needs to be installed. Not all XML parser are able to validate W3C Schema files but XML ValidatorBuddy together with AltovaXML allows you to quickly validate .xsd files directly in the Windows File Explorer and also in batch mode (learn more about batch processing here). This also means in order to use W3C validation with XML ValidatorBuddy you need to install the AltovaXML parser and the component must be registered as COM server. If the installer didn't register AltovaXML for you, you just need to follow the simple steps described at Register AltovaXML to do so. After AltovaXML is available on the PC the "Validate with AltovaXML" command in the Windows File Explorer "Tortoise XML" context menu can be used to validate any number of .xsd files. |
